This is a contract position.

Job Function / Purpose

Process and prepare payroll and all compensation information for all employees in region

Essential Duties

  • Process employee change forms and maintenance
  • Compile payroll data and process time keeping records, garnishments, vacation/sick time, benefit deductions, 401(K) contributions, job day pay for field personnel, payroll changes and all other payroll related information
  • Validate and monitor time sheet approval process each bi-weekly payroll
  • Import timesheet information from time management system for bi-weekly payroll
  • Process bi-weekly payroll utilizing third party HR payroll vendor
  • Complete payroll in a timely and accurate manner paying very close attention to detail
  • Solve payroll problems and resolve issues with third party payroll vendor and employee
  • Ensure payroll company is making timely tax deposits
  • Prepare 401(k) export files for upload
  • Build reports using the third party HR payroll software
  • Prepare and reconcile accounting journal entries for payroll and post to accounting software
  • Perform auditing of payroll records against other HR related documents and spreadsheets
  • Perform benefit general ledger entries monthly
  • Assist with audits related to 401(k), workers’ compensation, and financials
  • Verify and complete monthly job day pay
  • Prepare and reconcile accounting journal entries for BW and job day payroll
  • Perform 401(k) reconciliations quarterly
  • Generate and distribute monthly reports
  • Respond to inquiries related to payroll and job day pay
  • Complete verification of employment requests
  • Perform other related HR duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • Strong written and oral English communication skills
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 3 years of experience in Payroll and Accounting
  • 1-2 years of experience with general ledger
  • 5 years of experience with payroll software such as Ultimate Software
  • Proficient in Excel using pivot tables, V-Lookups and formulas
  • Ability to use a computer for accessing and sending e-mail, opening and revising documents, accessing internet and web-based Gyrodata, Inc. systems, including SharePoint, HRIS and ability to use Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associates Degree in Accounting or equivalent from a 2 year college or technical school
  • 2 years of experience in advanced Excel
  • Good written and oral Spanish communication skills
  • Oil and gas industry experience

This Project is seeking consultants.
